Riding Lessons Starting in May

We will be starting our riding lessons for 2009 in May. Riding lessons are for anyone that is looking to improve their riding and horsemanship skills. Lessons are open to kids, adults, beginners or for those who would like to improve their preexisting skills . The one thing that you will find different in our riding lessons is that we will work with the rider and the horse. Sometimes for a person to become a better rider their riding partner (the horse) may need a little work.

   

Riding Lessons:

Private Lessons

  • $35 for one hour of riding lessons

  • $30 per hour for 3 or more lessons that are booked at one time

  • $30 per hour per person group rate - groups no larger then 3 riders

Roping Lessons

 Head and heeling lessons are available. We start with groundwork (holding the rope properly and practicing on a dummy) and then move to the horse (working on rider control and feeling comfortable with a rope while mounted.) We then move to horse and seat position while tracking a steer.

  • $45 per person, two hour sections (Head or Heel)

  • $40 per two hour section per person group rate, groups no larger then 3 riders 

 Working Cow Horse Lessons

Working cow horse lessons consist of how to sort, cut and chase a cow. This is a great opportunity for those of you that like to help the neighbors or family members that have a working cattle ranch.

  • $45 per person private lessons, two hour sections

  • $40 per two hour section per persons group rate, Group no larger then 3 riders
